Solo,
Central Java.. 6 September 2006
Time
is the best healing… some people said like that.
Maybe
they are right, maybe not.
There
were so many things that I get and there were so many things I learn.
The
good, the bad, smiles, laughs, tears and angers, are some elements
that enriches my moments in that place. That place… a holy-timeless
place named Cuban Camp Hospital @Prambanan. It is a site of medical
team — humanitarian mission of the Cubans and Indonesians.
When for the first time
I arrived at this place, there was small doubt accompanied my first
duty. I should become a translator and an assistant of the doctor, at
the same time.
Sometimes,
I just like a guide, when I should accompanied the Cubans, traveled
to some places… hunting and looking some things, and getting almost
crazy when we should faced several unwanted situation and condition.
We
( Indonesian & Cubans ) were being locos* and locas*, hahahaha,
but it was so great.
*
loco/loca(s) is a Cuban expression for a mad/crazy people.
3
months is seems not enough to cover all feelings and hopes that
arouse in the mind and heart of every one.
3
months becoming a beginning… a wonderful beginning of a great
expectation.
The
last 3 months… June-July-August 2006… is becoming one of a damn great episodes of my life.
Going
to Merapi… crowding in Malioboro several times, getting almost
crazy in hunting medicine supply all over Jogja (up
to centarl Hospital of Jogja), almost chasing by the shipping man when looking and
take care the container, and just like a crazy guide with some
alike-tourist in KaliAdem, when trying got some Merapi stones. Up to helping doctors when there was a mother wanna gave birth to her baby!!! Unforgetable!
And there were so
many more that are just can not being describe. It was a hell great
moment being there.
In
the last 3 months, I can help people in helping others, almost
fighting together (Indonesian +Cuban) when I cannot give a best shoot in helping other
people.
In
the last 3 months, I can be a person who I never expected to be
before… almost reborn… getting transform… but in a deep and
different humanitarian side.
Never
say “Goodbye… Adios”…
This
word is like a prohibition… even tough we… Indonesians & Cubans cannot see each other …
it was not the end, actually, it can be a beginning. So, never say
goodbye!
I Just miss that mixed-great moments in helping others!!! Miss the crowded patients… miss the weird food, miss the great friends of translators club, miss the crazy drivers, miss the locos/locas medical cuban team. I just miss the whole ganx of Prambanan Camp!!!
Smiles…
Tears… Love… Friendship… Trust…
Unforgettable
stories….
Great
episode.
Love…
Sincerity…
Viva
la Patria… Viva la Revolucion… Viva el Socialismo… Hasta la
Victoria Siempre!
Viva el amor!
Hasta
la vista!!
